Ahead of Teachers’ Recruitment Exam, Deputy Speaker Trains Candidates for Success

The Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie, has organised a special tutorial session for candidates preparing for the forthcoming teachers’ recruitment Computer-Based Test (CBT) in Abia State.

Speaking during the exercise, Okezie said the initiative was designed to strengthen the candidates’ preparation and improve their chances of success in the examination.

He noted that a similar tutorial organised last year yielded impressive results, with over 90 percent of the participants reportedly passing the CBT stage, while many also progressed successfully through the oral interview phase.

According to him, the success of the previous exercise encouraged the decision to repeat the programme this year in order to assist more candidates.

The tutorial sessions, handled by experienced instructors, focused on key subject areas and essential examination techniques required for the CBT.

Okezie urged the participants to remain attentive during the training, study diligently and take full advantage of the opportunity provided.

To ease the burden of attending the programme, he also provided transport support for the candidates, noting that the tutorial would continue until the following day to ensure thorough preparation ahead of the examination.

He reminded the candidates that recruitment into the Abia State public service under the administration of Governor Alex C. Otti is strictly based on merit.

According to him, securing employment is no longer dependent on political connections or personal influence.

“The best support I can provide is this training that helps them compete fairly and succeed on their own merit,” he said, adding that although organising the tutorial requires significant resources, it remains a worthwhile investment in the future of the people.

Okezie wished all the candidates success in their examinations, stressing that diligence and proper preparation remain key to achieving good results.
