Anyaso Settles Medical Bills of Indigent Patients, Reaffirms Commitment to Healthcare Support

Renowned humanitarian, businessman and public figure, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (OFUJI), has once again demonstrated his commitment to improving access to quality healthcare with the settlement of hospital bills for two indigent patients from Bende Federal Constituency.

The intervention, which was carried out under his monthly medical assistance programme, provided financial relief to Mr. Uche Ekeoma, a 20-year-old indigene of Ihungwu Amankalu, Igbere in Bende Local Government Area, and Mrs. Akiri Chinasa, 50, from Amankwo Uzuakoli.

The beneficiaries had undergone medical treatments at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, but faced challenges in settling their hospital expenses until Dr. Anyaso’s intervention.

Ekeoma, who was admitted into the New Surgical Ward of the hospital on May 6, 2026, was treated for a massive scrotal mass complication and underwent a right inguinal herniorrhaphy. His medical bills were fully cleared through the humanitarian gesture.

Similarly, Mrs. Chinasa, who was admitted on June 6 and discharged on June 15, 2026, received multiple surgical interventions from the Neurosurgery Team, with her medical expenses also settled under the programme.

The monthly medical assistance initiative, according to observers, reflects Dr. Anyaso’s sustained commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society, particularly residents of Bende Federal Constituency who struggle to access essential healthcare services.

Expressing gratitude, the beneficiaries and their families described the gesture as timely and life-changing, praising Dr. Anyaso for his compassion and dedication to improving the welfare of the people.
