A frontline political figure in Abia State, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji), has formally launched the “Otti Again 2027” movement, signalling an early consolidation of support for Governor Alex Otti ahead of the next electoral cycle.

The initiative was unveiled during a strategic gathering of Labour Party leaders, ward executives, councillors, Abia Arise coordinators, and key stakeholders drawn from across Bende Federal Constituency.

The event, which doubled as a mobilisation and empowerment programme, witnessed the distribution of logistics and welfare support aimed at strengthening grassroots operations within the party.

As part of the rollout, no fewer than seven executive buses were unveiled, alongside two Hilux operational vehicles and over 100 motorcycles to aid grassroots mobilisation and enhance community-level engagement, including security coordination.

In addition to the logistics support, party faithful received various welfare packages, including bags of rice, gift items, and financial assistance, underscoring what organisers described as a people-focused political movement anchored on inclusion and empowerment.

Addressing attendees, Anyaso said the “Otti Again 2027” movement goes beyond a conventional political campaign, describing it as “a mission to sustain good governance, unity, and development in Abia State.”

He urged party members to remain united, shun divisive tendencies, and deepen grassroots participation, particularly as the Labour Party intensifies its nationwide electronic registration exercise.

Stakeholders and party leaders at the event commended Anyaso’s leadership and organisational drive, noting that the initiative would significantly bolster party structures, empower communities, and consolidate the achievements of the current administration.

The launch of the movement from Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso sends a strong signal about the readiness of party structures and the growing momentum within the grassroots ahead of 2027.
