Blossom Life Foundation Endorses Anyaso, Withdraws Support for Benjamin Kalu

The Blossom Life Foundation has endorsed Labour Party candidate, Dr. Chima Anyaso, as its sole candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, announcing its decision to withdraw support for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
The Foundation’s National President, Comrade Edward Israel, who led the delegation during the endorsement visit, said the organisation had resolved to redirect its political support to Anyaso, whom he described as a brother deserving of collective backing.
Israel disclosed that the Foundation would formally communicate its decision to Kalu through his Director-General, informing him of its change of political position.
“After today, we will write him through his DG that we have done a U-turn and are going to work for my brother. He deserves to be supported,” Israel said.
He assured Anyaso of the Foundation’s commitment to mobilising support for him across Bende, declaring that the group had formally adopted him as its sole candidate.
“We can assure you that in Bende, we will stand by you. It is game over,” he declared.
Responding, Anyaso expressed appreciation for the endorsement, attributing the development to divine providence and expressing confidence in his aspiration to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
“There is nothing that happens without God’s approval. If you are from Bende, it is clear to me, as it is clear to you, that we are winning this election,” he said.
The Labour Party candidate pledged to prioritise the interests of his constituents, stressing that his ambition was driven by a commitment to honest representation and ensuring that Bende receives its fair share of federal opportunities.
“Whatever is due to Ndi Bende, I am going to bring it back to our people. What I need from the Federal House is to go and represent our people with honesty,” Anyaso stated.
He also assured the Foundation that its support would not be taken for granted, promising that, with God’s help and the collective efforts of his supporters, they would have no cause to regret their decision.
Anyaso said his commitment to people-centred representation informed the development of the Bende Prosperity Contract, tagged “Walk With Me,” which he described as a product of consultations with communities across the constituency.
According to him, the initiative differs from conventional campaign manifestoes because it was developed after engagements with residents to identify their specific needs and priorities.
“That is why we took our time to prepare a contract with Ndi Bende. This is not your usual manifesto where people copy and paste. We visited all the communities so we could meet them at the point of their needs,” he said.
The Bende Prosperity Contract outlines proposed development priorities in agriculture, education, healthcare, youth development, infrastructure, enterprise and other areas of community development. It is presented by Anyaso’s campaign as a framework for accountability and a commitment to addressing concerns identified by residents.
The Foundation’s endorsement adds to the political developments ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election in Bende Federal Constituency.
