Anyaso Secures Labour Party Grassroots Backing, Pledges Stronger Party Structure Beyond 2027

The Labour Party ward chairmen in Bende Federal Constituency have pledged massive grassroots support for the party’s 2027 House of Representatives candidate, Dr. Chima Anyaso, assuring him of their commitment to mobilising voters across the constituency.
The assurance was given on Thursday during a meeting between Anyaso and the ward chairmen at his country home in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the ward leaders, the Chairman of the Council of Chairmen and Labour Party Chairman of Item Ward B, Pastor Thomas Ukonu, pledged their commitment to working with Anyaso to strengthen the party’s structures and mobilise support ahead of the election.
Ukonu emphasised the strategic role of ward executives in grassroots mobilisation, stressing the need for sustained cooperation and effective communication between the candidate and party leadership.
In his response, Anyaso assured the ward chairmen that he would remain committed to the Labour Party beyond the 2027 elections, declaring that his relationship with the party was not merely for electoral purposes.
He disclosed that plans were underway to build a strong and sustainable party structure in Bende that would remain relevant beyond the election cycle.
Anyaso also assured the ward leaders of continued inclusion in his political engagements, noting that the strength of the party depended on the active participation and commitment of its grassroots members.
The meeting forms part of his ongoing consultations with party leaders and stakeholders as the Labour Party intensifies efforts to consolidate its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
