The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced designated pick-up points for its Go-Cashless cards as the March 1 implementation deadline approaches.

In a statement issued on Friday in Lagos, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Henry Agbebire, said members of the public can obtain the Go-Cashless cards at all FAAN commercial offices and airport access gates across the country with immediate effect.

He further disclosed that the cards will also be available at selected branches of Fidelity Bank Plc beginning March 16, expanding access for airport users nationwide.

According to Agbebire, the initiative is in line with a Federal Government directive mandating all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to adopt a cashless system for their operations.

He explained that the transition to a cashless regime is designed to enhance transparency, curb revenue leakages and strengthen transaction traceability across government institutions.

Reaffirming FAAN’s commitment to full compliance with the directive, Agbebire appealed to airport users and stakeholders for understanding and cooperation during the transition period.

He clarified that the Go-Cashless cards would continue to be available at designated locations even after the March 1 deadline, assuring the public of uninterrupted access.

The authority maintained that the initiative would facilitate faster, safer and more convenient transactions at airports nationwide, ultimately improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
