4+4 Divine Movement Endorses Otti, Emeruwa for 2027

The Alex Otti 4+4 Divine Movement, a grassroots support group committed to promoting continuity and good governance in Abia State, has endorsed Governor Alex Otti, OFR, for re-election and the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa, KSC, for another term in office.

The group announced its endorsement during a courtesy visit to Speaker Emeruwa, describing the duo as key drivers of the development recorded in the state under the present administration.

Speaking during the visit, the state chairman of the movement, Engr. Chibueze Daniel Okah, said the endorsement was motivated by the need to sustain the gains of the Otti administration and ensure continuity in the state’s development trajectory.

Okah said the administration had, within the last two years, restored hope and confidence among Abians through road reconstruction, payment of outstanding salaries, pensions and gratuities, civil service reforms and improved accountability in governance.

“Abia is back on track. To keep this momentum, we need continuity. The 4+4 Divine Movement is therefore throwing its full weight behind Governor Alex Otti’s re-election bid and Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa’s return to represent Aba South,” he said.

The group also commended Speaker Emeruwa for his accessibility and closeness to the people, describing him as a “dependable ally” in Governor Otti’s development agenda.

In her remarks, the state women’s leader of the movement, Comr. Vera Ihuoma, pledged the group’s readiness to mobilise women and other grassroots stakeholders across the 17 local government areas of the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

She said the movement would work towards securing what she described as “resounding victories” for both Governor Otti and Speaker Emeruwa.

“God’s work in Abia through Dr Alex Otti must be completed. With Speaker Emeruwa at the House of Assembly, we are confident of more progress,” Ihuoma said.

The movement subsequently called on Abians across political divides to support the administration, stressing that sustained cooperation and continuity were essential to extending the impact of ongoing development projects to all parts of the state.
