The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has held high-level engagements with Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Lateef Kayode Kolawole Are, and the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON.

The engagements took place in New York on the sidelines of activities surrounding the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Ambassador Are is Nigeria’s current envoy to the United States, while Dr. Dabiri-Erewa heads NiDCOM, the Federal Government agency mandated to engage Nigerians in the diaspora and harness their human, professional and material resources for national development.

The meetings formed part of Anyaso’s broader participation in UNGA-related activities, providing opportunities for discussions and interactions around international development, diaspora engagement and the potential benefits of global partnerships for local communities.

For the Bende Federal Constituency candidate, the engagements also offered an opportunity to gain exposure to global ideas, networks and development initiatives that could be relevant to the constituency.

Anyaso’s participation in the New York engagements underscores his interest in leveraging international exposure and diaspora connections to explore opportunities that could contribute to development at the grassroots level.
