Barely 24 hours after unveiling and signing the Bende Prosperity Contract, the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has intensified his grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.
Anyaso, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, met with ward-level party leaders and campaign coordinators at his campaign office in Igbere, in continuation of his consultations across the constituency.
The engagement brought together Ward Chairmen, Councillors, Women and Youth Leaders, Abia Arise Coordinators, Onu-Ugu Women Leaders, as well as Chima Anyaso Coordinators from the respective wards.

The meeting provided an avenue for the candidate to interact directly with grassroots leaders, receive feedback on issues affecting their communities and strengthen coordination for the 2027 campaign.

The sessions covered Umuimenyi/Nkpa, Ugwueke/Ezeukwu, Alayi, Item C and Item A, with each ward structure given dedicated time for discussions with the candidate and campaign leadership.

Speaking during the engagement, the campaign leadership emphasised the importance of an organised and inclusive grassroots structure in delivering the party’s message and connecting the candidate’s agenda with voters across Bende.

The Director-General of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Organisation, Pastor Okechukwu Dike, participated in the meetings alongside the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha.
Others present included the Director of Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Imo Masco; Deputy Mayor of Bende and Deputy Director of the Campaign, Hon. Ngozi Anya; Deputy Chairman of the Labour Party in Abia State, Emma Alozie; Director of Youth Mobilisation, Mazi Ugochukwu Nwankwo; Director of Grassroots Mobilisation, Apostle Michael Ogbonnaya; Director of Women Mobilisation and other party and campaign officials.

The campaign organisation said the ward-level consultations would continue as part of efforts to maintain direct communication with the grassroots, strengthen party structures and ensure active participation of ward leaders in the campaign ahead of the 2027 poll.
