ANYASO DRIVES ‘OTTI AGAIN 2027’ PUSH, ROLLS OUT VEHICLES, BIKES FOR GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION

Abia-born entrepreneur, philanthropist and Labour Party stalwart, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has intensified political mobilisation in Abia State with the empowerment of party structures in Bende Federal Constituency, as part of efforts to boost the ongoing e-registration exercise and build momentum for the 2027 elections.

At a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting comprising ward executives from all 13 wards, local government party officials, Abia Arise coordinators, councillors and other political leaders in Bende, Anyaso urged members to close ranks and deepen grassroots engagement in support of Governor Alex Otti’s administration.

The meeting, he said, underscored a collective resolve to sustain what he described as “good governance” in the state, while strengthening coordination across party structures at the ward level.

Anyaso called on party faithful to shun internal divisions and rivalry, stressing the need for unity as the Labour Party expands its membership base through the digital registration drive.

Reaffirming his support for Governor Otti, he described the “Otti Again 2027” campaign as “not just a movement, but a mission,” expressing confidence that the party would secure a decisive mandate in the next governorship election.

As part of the mobilisation effort, the philanthropist unveiled the first batch of campaign logistics for the Bende chapter of the movement, including seven executive buses, two Hilux trucks and over 100 motorcycles intended to enhance outreach and security operations.

The event also featured the distribution of food items, gift packages and cash donations to party members.

In their separate remarks, Bende Local Government Chairman of the Labour Party, alongside the party secretary, Thompson Opara, Women Leader, Mrs. Stephanie N. Alilionwu, and Hon. Jonah Ibekwe Anyaogu, commended Anyaso for his leadership and continued support to party members at the grassroots.

They also lauded his contributions through the Chima Anyaso Foundation, noting that his efforts complement the developmental agenda of Governor Otti’s administration.

The stakeholders reaffirmed their loyalty to the Labour Party and pledged continued support for the governor, expressing optimism that ongoing collaboration among party leaders would accelerate development in Bende Federal Constituency and Abia State at large.
