Anyaso Joins Otti as FG Hails Abia’s Transformation at FHA ‘Renewed Hope’ Estate Flag-Off

A major boost to housing and urban renewal efforts in Abia State was recorded as the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) officially performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Renewed Hope Estate in Umuahia, a flagship project aimed at redefining modern housing development in the state.
The event drew key stakeholders, including the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, senior government officials, industry leaders, and prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji).

In a notable highlight of the ceremony, the Managing Director of the FHA, Mr. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, delivered a candid assessment of the ongoing transformation in Abia State, commending Governor Otti’s developmental strides.
“I have known Abia State since 1999, and from what I have seen in Aba and Umuahia, I can boldly say the Governor has done a commendable job,” Ojo stated.
“Considering the ongoing efforts here and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there is a shared vision for development that transcends political affiliations.”

The FHA boss emphasized that governance should be driven by leadership and results rather than partisan considerations, noting that visible progress in infrastructure and urban renewal is gradually reshaping perceptions about the state.
Speaking with journalists after the ceremony, Dr. Anyaso described the Renewed Hope Estate as a testament to effective collaboration between the Federal Government and the Abia State Government.

He commended the initiative as a critical step toward addressing housing deficits while stimulating economic growth, adding that Governor Otti’s administration has demonstrated measurable progress in infrastructure renewal, investment climate improvement, and institutional reforms.
According to him, such developments are restoring public confidence in governance and repositioning Abia as an emerging destination for investors.
Observers say the public acknowledgment of Abia’s progress by a federal appointee underscores a shifting narrative from political contestation to performance-driven governance.
The Renewed Hope Estate project is expected to provide modern, affordable housing while contributing to the broader urban transformation agenda of both the state and federal governments.
Analysts note that as development gains momentum, stakeholders across political divides may be compelled to adopt more collaborative approaches to sustain growth and deliver tangible benefits to the people.
