Anyaso Takes ‘OFUJI MOVEMENT’ to grassroots, storms Bende Ward With Relief Support

Residents of Bende Federal Constituency are set to receive a fresh wave of humanitarian support as the Ofuji Movement, backed by the Chima Anyaso Foundation, intensifies its ward-to-ward outreach across the area.

The initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, is designed to cushion the effects of economic hardship by distributing food items and providing financial assistance to families during the Lenten season.

As part of activities marking the forthcoming Easter celebrations, the outreach will continue on Sunday, March 29, 2026, with visits to Itumbauzo Ward and Bende Ward in Ikwu Ishii.

According to the programme schedule, signed by the Board of Trustees Chairman, Chimaobi Anyaso Foundation, Ezeogo (Dr.) Emeka Onuoha disclosed that the team will first arrive at Central School, Okopedi, Itumbauzo Ward, by 3:00 p.m., before proceeding to Okputon Market Square, Bende Ward, at 4:30 p.m.

The release further say the ward-to-ward tour, which targets all 13 wards in Bende Federal Constituency, is aimed to fostering direct engagement with grassroots communities while delivering much-needed relief.

Leaders and stakeholders across the wards including traditional rulers, youths, women groups, town union representatives, and religious leaders have been invited to participate in the interactive sessions, regardless of political affiliation.

Speaking on the initiative, the BOT Chairman,  described the outreach as a demonstration of commitment to community welfare and inclusive engagement.

He, therefore, expressed optimism that the programme would bring relief and renewed hope to residents.

The organisers, however, reaffirmed their message of optimism, assuring constituents that “more joy is coming” as the outreach continues across the constituency.
