CCN urges unity, steadfast faith as April begins

Members of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) and its ecumenical partners have been called upon to remain steadfast in faith, united in purpose, and committed to service as they usher in the new month of April.
In a goodwill message to mark the beginning of the month, made available on his social media account, the General Secretary of CCN, His Lordship, The Rt. Rev’d Evans Onyemara, Ph.D encouraged Christians to embrace April with renewed strength, unwavering faith, and a deep sense of divine expectation.
According to him, the transition into a new month presents an opportunity for believers to reflect on God’s faithfulness and look forward to greater testimonies, open doors, and fresh expressions of grace.
Describing April as a season of spiritual focus, the cleric urged members to remain committed to God’s promises despite prevailing challenges, expressing confidence that all circumstances would ultimately work together for good.
He further called on Christians to uphold unity, practice righteousness, and exemplify the love of Christ within their communities and beyond, noting that the world is in dire need of hope, peace, and godly direction.
“Let our lives reflect hope, peace, and purpose as we shine the light of Christ in a troubled world,” he stated.
The CCN scribe also prayed for spiritual growth, divine favour, and abundant blessings upon churches, families, and the nation, urging believers to approach each day with gratitude, courage, and a readiness to serve.
He concluded with prayers for peace, preservation, and prosperity for all faithful throughout the month.
