LAGOS VIBES STORM ABIA: DAVIDO, TIMAYA, KCEE, OTHERS SET TO HEADLINE DON’S MEDIA LAUNCH IN UMUAHIA.

Abia State is set to witness an unprecedented entertainment and media spectacle as two powerful radio stations — Don FM 103.7 and Ikoro FM 93.3 — are officially launching on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Umuawa Alaocha in Umuahia.

The grand event is being hosted by the Chairman of Don Media Group, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu. It promises to be a double celebration as the launch also coincides with Don Lulu’s birthday, creating the perfect atmosphere for a festival of music, culture, and community empowerment.

Headlining the mega launch and concert are some of the biggest names in the Nigerian entertainment scene — Davido, Timaya, Kcee, Cubana Chief Priest, Bright Chimezie, Peruzzi, Zlatan, Zoro, Jeriq, and Sabinus. The event will be emceed by the ever-hilarious Funnybone, adding a touch of comedy to an already electrifying lineup.

The day will kick off at 10AM at the Umuawa Alaocha Town Square with cultural displays, tributes, and community engagement activities. By 1PM, the party moves to the Umuahia Township Stadium where the mega concert will light up the city.

Beyond the glitz and glamour, the launch carries a deeper purpose. Don Lulu — a former Abia State Governorship aspirant and renowned philanthropist — emphasized that the event is not just a celebration but a platform to appreciate key stakeholders and contributors to youth development in Abia.

He also revealed plans to unveil new training opportunities for local youth in the broadcasting and entertainment sectors, as part of a broader initiative to foster talent and community development in the region. This commitment reflects Don Media Group’s vision of nurturing the next generation of media professionals from the grassroots.
