The Chima Anyaso Foundation, in collaboration with the Ofuji Movement, has successfully concluded its humanitarian ward-to-ward outreach across the 13 wards of Bende Federal Constituency in Abia State.

The six-week outreach programme featured weekly Sunday visits to various wards, during which food items were distributed to residents while each ward received financial assistance of ₦500,000 to support community members during the Christian Lenten season.

The grand finale of the exercise took place on Easter Sunday with visits to Uzuakoli Ward, Umuimenyi Etiti, and Nkpa Ward, attracting large crowds of beneficiaries who turned out to receive the support.

Community leaders and stakeholders expressed appreciation and satisfaction as food items and financial support were shared among residents.

Although unable to attend the event personally, the convener of the initiative conveyed his gratitude after reviewing videos and photographs from the distribution exercise.

He described the overwhelming response from residents as encouraging and reaffirmed that the programme was designed to demonstrate compassion, sacrifice, and care values associated with the Lenten and Easter seasons.

“We thank God for the opportunity to stand with our people at a time that calls for love and sacrifice,” he stated, while commending the Chima Anyaso Foundation for sustaining humanitarian interventions across the constituency.

Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Chima Anyaso Foundation, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha, explained that the outreach forms part of Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso’s continued commitment to providing relief and strengthening community support systems.

He called on residents of Bende Local Government Area to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, noting that the state has witnessed significant transformation across various sectors.

Onuoha also urged eligible citizens to participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration and voter card revalidation exercise conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. He further highlighted the message of the “OTTI AGAIN 2027 Movement,” founded and sponsored by Dr. Anyaso.

During the finale, food items alongside cash support of ₦500,000 were presented to each of the three communities visited.

In his vote of thanks, the President General of Nkpa Community Development Union, Bishop Ugo Nwosu, expressed profound appreciation to Dr. Anyaso for his consistent philanthropic and humanitarian interventions across communities in Bende Federal Constituency.

Other stakeholders including Hon. Henry Nduaka Nworisara, Sir Nelson Ofoegbu, Mrs. Chinonyerem Ikedieze, Hon. Chukwuemeka Ogbonnaya, and Elder Ndubueze Obioma commended Dr. Anyaso for identifying with grassroots communities and supporting vulnerable residents. They pledged continued support for Governor Otti’s administration while encouraging Dr. Anyaso to contest and represent Bende Federal Constituency in 2027.

Dignitaries present at the event included Hon. Chukwuemeka Ochiobi, High Chief Madubuike (Ebekue Dike I of Nkpa), Deacon Iyke Uchela, Pastor Okechukwu Dike, and traditional rulers of Nkpa.
