Tension as Orji Kalu’s Associate ‘Okombo’ Reportedly Arrested, Moved to Abuja

Reports circulating on social media have alleged that a political associate of former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, popularly known as “Okombo,” has been arrested in Lagos by security operatives.
Sources familiar with the development claimed that Okombo was reportedly picked up at his residence in Lagos, although the circumstances surrounding the alleged arrest remain unclear.
The development comes days after Okombo reportedly released a video in which he narrated how Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, was allegedly introduced to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu by Mascot Uzor Kalu.
Unconfirmed reports further indicated that the political associate may have been moved to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Headquarters in Abuja for questioning.
However, as of the time of filing this report, neither the Nigeria Police Force nor other relevant security agencies had issued any official statement confirming the arrest or disclosing the nature of any allegations against him.
Efforts to obtain confirmation from security authorities were unsuccessful at press time, leaving many details surrounding the incident uncertain.
