Fresh momentum appears to be building around the 2027 political ambition of Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) following a solidarity visit by newly elected ward executives of the Labour Party from Igbere Ward A and Igbere Ward B in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

The delegation, which paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Anyaso at his country home in Igbere on Tuesday, expressed confidence in his leadership credentials and pledged total grassroots support for his aspiration to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Councillor representing Igbere Ward A, Hon. Jonah Ibekwe Anyaogu, described the visit as a clear demonstration of the trust and confidence reposed in Dr. Anyaso by the grassroots. He maintained that the people of Bende were ready to support the Ofuji Movement in its quest to secure representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

Also speaking, the Councillor representing Igbere Ward B, Hon. James Ejere, assured Dr. Anyaso of the unwavering backing of the people of Igbere and the wider Bende Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In his remarks, the newly elected Chairman of Igbere Ward A, Hon. Nwachukwu Ogbah, pledged massive mobilization efforts across the ward, expressing confidence that the Labour Party would record overwhelming victory in future elections.

Similarly, the Labour Party Chairman of Igbere Ward B, Mr. Maxwell Orji, attributed Dr. Anyaso’s growing political acceptance to his strong faith in God and commitment to service, stressing that victory for the Ofuji political family remained certain.

Youth and women leaders from both wards, in separate goodwill messages, also assured Dr. Anyaso and Governor Alex Chioma Otti of total grassroots mobilization in support of the Labour Party’s victory in the 2027 elections.

Responding, Dr. Anyaso thanked the delegation for the visit and their continued support for his political aspiration. He urged the newly elected ward executives to remain united, strengthen the party structure at the grassroots, and work collaboratively toward ensuring total victory for the Labour Party in the forthcoming general elections.
