2027: Alex Otti 4/4 Movement Backs Otti, Emeruwa for Re-election, Predicts Labour Party Landslide

The Alex Otti 4/4 Movement, a pro-Labour Party support group, has thrown its weight behind the re-election bids of Governor Alex Chioma Otti and the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa, expressing confidence that both leaders will secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
The group made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the Speaker at the Abia State House of Assembly recently,

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Chairman of the movement, Engr. Chibueze Daniel Okah, said the group’s core mandate is to mobilise grassroots support across the state to ensure the re-election of Governor Otti, Speaker Emeruwa and all Labour Party candidates in the 2027 polls.

According to him, the movement has already established functional leadership structures in all the 17 local government areas of Abia State, positioning it as a formidable grassroots organisation committed to delivering electoral success for the party.

Engr. Okah commended the performance of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly under the leadership of Speaker Emeruwa, describing the legislature as supportive, productive and instrumental in advancing the developmental agenda of the Otti administration.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to appreciate you, the Speaker, Hon. Anthony Chinasa and the entire House for the critical support you have continued to give our governor. Today, Abia has taken on a new face, and we cannot thank you enough. I am confident that history will remember your contributions for providing the governor with the legislative backing needed to transform the state,” he said.
He further described the visit as a privilege, noting that personal interaction with Speaker Emeruwa reveals his humility, accessibility and humane disposition. He also applauded Hon. Anthony Chinasa for his contributions to the success of the 8th Assembly.
Responding, Speaker Emeruwa expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and their words of encouragement, reiterating that the legislature’s constitutional responsibility is to promote good governance through constructive collaboration with the executive arm rather than create unnecessary obstacles.
He maintained that the overriding objective of the House remains the development of Abia State and the welfare of its citizens through effective legislation and institutional support for the executive.
On the 2027 general elections, the Speaker said the achievements of Governor Otti’s administration, coupled with the performance of the present Assembly, have strengthened public confidence in the Labour Party across the state.
He expressed optimism that the party would record an impressive outing at the polls, adding that Governor Otti, himself and other Labour Party candidates would seek to consolidate the gains already recorded after the 2027 elections.
Also speaking, Hon. Anthony Chinasa thanked the Speaker for receiving the delegation, stressing that the Abia State House of Assembly remains open and accessible to all Abians. He assured the group that members of the legislature would continue to discharge their duties diligently in the interest of the people.
